Learning the Front Handspring using a medium Octagon

Purpose: This drill is to help the athlete to keep their hips up and forward motion during this skill. The Octagon creates a safe, soft surface for the body to understand the correct shape during a front handspring, keeping the hips raised, the head back and the arms up, is essential for a good front handspring.

Set up: A Preschool mat open for hand placement and a medium sized Octagon
