Teaching the Flyaway to Beginners using the Jr. Kip Bar

Purpose: The flyaway can be scary for young gymnasts to learn. The Jr. Kip Bar offers a low and safe setting to teach this skill and let the gymnast discover it all on her own. By placing the "hill" to roll down the gymnast will quickly learn that she needs to get her feet up high enough to facilitate the backward roll.

Set up: The Jr. Kip Bar has the Bungee Incline propped up be some blocks or a wall with the Pit Pillow placed on top for softness.
