Tumbl Trak Practice Mats (also referred to as crash mats) have unique features that make it stand out from the competition. In addition to using only the highest quality materials, Tumbl Trak Mats feature what we call "Smart Mat Technology" which make our mats easier to use, safer, and more flexible to combine with other products.
Tumbl Trak Mats include reinforced handles for easy transport. Non-skid material is sewn to the bottom, making the mat safer. All the mats can easily be folded in half creating a block shape for increased drills and progressions. Velcro fasteners keep the mats secure when closed or used as a block, and allow the mats to easily connect to other pieces.
When we say our mats are easy to use with other products, here's an example: Fold the 1.2m x 1.8m Mat in half and place other products, like a Sweet Spot, on top. Now you have a mini vault station for your recreation class. The velcro placement of both products creates a secure connection.
Exception: 10cm thick Practice Mat does not include the Velcro
18 oz. knife coated vinyl
high quality dacron thread
5cm nylon web straps
5cm hook and loop Velcro
10cm Mat- 1.5lbs top 1/2 -1.8lbs bottom 1/2
15cm Mat foam 1.2lbs with 32ILD
20cm (1.2m x 2.4m) foam 1.2lbs with 32ILD
20cm (1.5m x 3m) feature a double layer 10cm ea- 1.5lb with 50ILD & 1.4lbs with 35ILD foam
The thickness of the mat depends on the type of skill you are practicing. If you are doing skills for tumbling, a thinner mat is okay. If you are practicing landing skills, we recommend a thicker mat. Also, consider any equipment you may be padding. For example, we recommend the 15cm or 20cm Practice Mat with our Jr. Bar Pro because it safely pads the 3.8cm center metal support bar.
